It was back in May 2025 when an idea struck me...

🟠 What if viewers of Picking Nuggets or readers of The Little Almanack could meet each other in real life?

🟠 What if there was a private, vetted community that connected them if they live in the same city?

🟠 Wouldn’t that be an epic thing for meeting like-minded, interesting people — making active, fun plans like playing tennis 🎾 — and building a high-quality network over time?

As with any other idea, I gave it a few days to think about it. I tried to see the potential flaws, and study the viability of the project.

But honestly… Everything looked great! And I couldn’t get this idea out of my head.

So long story short…

I shipped it 🚀

The Idea

Networking events tend to be boring, superficial, unauthentic, and honestly… sometimes it’s just full of crazy people 😂. And “business people” who haven’t even read about Charlie Munger or Peter Thiel.

Now imagine if you were connected every month with a fellow viewer of Picking Nuggets (or a fellow reader of The Little Almanack) in your city to make a fun, active plan — with whom you already share a strong affinity, as Picking Nuggets self-selects for people who value high-agency, open-mindedness, passion, curiosity, truth-seeking, independence, authenticity, self-growth, and wisdom.

On top of the Picking Nuggets filter, we manually review each application to ensure only individuals who are a good fit can become a member of the Club.

Thus, The Little Almanack Club is your shortcut for meeting the most interesting people in your city (and other cities — if you’re traveling), and efficiently grow a high-quality network over time.

How it works

Join the Club and we’ll connect you with another member in your city on the 1st of each month.

The introduction is made via an email thread, and you’ll decide on the plan. To make it fun and healthy, it could be meeting to play a sport. You could play tennis, padel, pickleball, go hiking, go for a run… It’s up to you!

Besides location, we also look at age — so you meet members on the same (or similar) age cohort.

You'll also be able to change your country / city every time you travel ✈️ — and this is actually a great way to meet new people while traveling.

Price

It's free to apply and being part of the community (if you're accepted).

Then, if you want to actually get connections — in your city or whichever city you are traveling — the price is $9.95 per month.

Currently, Picking Nuggets has over 149,000 Subscribers and The Little Almanack over 16,000 Subscribers. So, even if you live in a small city, odds are high that you’ll be matched with other members eventually.
